ohn 17:12 – “During my time here, I protected them by the power of the name you gave me.[a] I guarded them so that not one was lost, except the one headed for destruction, as the Scriptures foretold.”
The text reveals what Jesus the captain of our salvation told his Father, that all that you gave me l have kept except the son of perdition. The text also shows a firm declaration of God’s commitment and assurance of salvation for all who are the produce of the covenant.
The Word of God is directly linked with the faithfulness of God, that whoever He saves He also keeps. So just like Judas Iscariot, a man out of the Faith is a man who never had faith in the Son of God, clearly they never believed in the death, burial and resurrection of the Son.
It is my prayer that this captures your heart and mind so you can rest in the finished work of Christ as anchor for your soul. Do not allow the devil’s tactic of looming condemnation in your mind. In all our terrible mistakes our parents do not disown us. If we as evil as we are, are this committed to our children, how much more our loving Father. Indeed none shall be LOST.
