John 9:1-3; Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.
Jesus through the above scenario gives us an understanding of the works of God. He makes us know that God’s work will be revealed through this man. He will be healed of His blindness. So we would realize that God’s work brings salvation, healing, deliverance etc, and not destruction.
In the beginning God’s first word and work was to speak light into the darkness. He did not create the darkness, but rather spoke light into it. This darkness refers to the fall of man through their own disobedience. This is why God revealed Himself to us in the TRUINE God, (Father, Som and Holy Spirit) to redeem us and the earth, because the kind of world we live in is not what He intended for us from the beginning.
This is why when He returns He will restore the universe back to it’s former glory, a world without evil, hades and death. If death and destruction were in God then the new earth He will create, would still have death in it, because it’s a part of Him. Hence, 1 John 1:5; tells us that, “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all”. There is no spot of darkness or evil in God.
