John 3:30 – “He must increase and I must decrease”
It is a good thing when people desire to be used by God in His supernatural power and in the Gifts of His Holy Spirit. As for God he gives liberally without reproach or fault finding, As a matter of fact the believer has been given all that pertains to life and godliness, however we would need a certain posture in manifesting and fulfilling this glorious desire.
There are two foundational premises for those who desire to be so used by God, and these should never be forgotten, and one should remind oneself of these all the time: Firstly “He must increase and I must decrease” and secondly always pray; “Lord, hide me behind the Cross and let the people see no man but Jesus alone, and Him as crucified and risen”.
This is how we can consistently see in the light of the Word and thereby be sensitive to the promptings and flow of the Holy Spirit. If we can stay with these two things, entrench ourselves and walk in them every day for the rest of our lives, then God will use us for the rest of our lives. In this you will not be offended in Him and ask like John the Baptist did; “are you the one or do we we seek for another“.
