Mark 11:17- “Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.”
What did Jesus see that day in the temple? Mark tells us that Jesus saw commercialized religion. He saw the family of the high priest selling sacrificial animals and moneychangers exchanging foreign coins for a profit. Jesus saw human degradation at its worst.
He saw the depravity of man and his need for God to provide His own righteousness for mankind. He saw that God’s work must be done God’s way. He observed all the facts before Him. As Jesus looked about Him, He measured everything by divine standards. He saw everything through the eyes of the Father.
In the midst of all the mess, He saw you in the Beloved, He saw you in Himself, and He saw the blood that has been shed for you from the foundations of the earth. He saw a house of prayer, intercession and reconciliation. His sight has not changed today. Because of this, His thoughts toward you are thoughts of loving-kindness, forgiveness, blessings, and favor. He never looks at anything through the eyes of the world system’s convenience or selfishness. May we set His sight in the earth.
It’s a brand new day! Keep enjoying Kharis!
